News Anchors International: "Preposterous! Of course he doesn't use mind control magic."
The reporter subsequently looks confused and asks, "Sorry, what was the question?"

Aelthevira sitting stiffly upright her head cocked slightly, the barest touch of a smirk on her lips asks, "There is an unconfirmed rumor that the Terror is known to use mind-control magic himself. Any comments on that?" Eltaor: Well of cause, but he's a goblin, Elves should not decend to the level of the lesser races. The Holier Than Thou: Meaning Goblins? Eltaor: ... Sure. Umbrian observer: *mumbling* "among others".

Aelthevira clears her throat pointedly, remainly stiffly upright in her chair, pen scribbling furiously.
"Will there be clarification on Bayard's naked attempt to use Legalese to foment war against Umbria? He seems persistent in his accusations."

Eltaor: If I had to comment on all of The Mad Kings ramplings I'd never get to do anything else, though I do find it notable that Bayard keeps whinning to Camelot every time anything goes wrong for them, has he sworn vasalage while we weren't looking?

Albion Daily: Sir, what is your comments on the newest quarterly release by the Witty Bard?
Eltaor: Well it is much as you would expect from someone so pompous as to name himself so. A collection fake news and scurrilous rumors sources to anonymous sources. Take the stories that come from Umbria and Dal Riada. It gets the most basic facts wrong. The Dal Riada court while significant remains smaller than the Umbrian one, a simple inquiry to either Umbria or Dal Riada would no doubt have cleared this out but the Witty bard cannot do this most basic of fact checking on a release he sends out once per quarters.
The story from Umbria is even worse. Queen Norths is a valuable ally against the forces of darkness and while a number of Mercains as well as soldiers from the Tmeple and Carleon have died fighting Undead forces last winter so did many elves. It in insulting to both Umbria and the our human allies to suggest we regard them as disposable or they would allow themselves to be used so. Their death was tragic and we’re working as best we can to avoid or minimize casualties in the future both Aelven and humane. The notion that we with our unwavering dedication to Chaotic goodness would regard them so is absurd and as I said insulting. You notice he never mentions who these supposed Aleven elders are or what his source is. I suspect he simply asked Bayard for their take and reprinted it without checking it sounds like the paranoid rantings of the Mad King.
Colonial Press: I can confirm that our glorious Aelven overlord have not been pressing Lothian into service to fight undead though in fact many Lothian youth are in fact eager to test their meddle in combat.
Eltaor: Yeah, no, the Lothians are disposable, we just don’t trust them with weapons. The Princess is from Camelot so we do value her life.
Colonial press: Carleon sir.
Eltaor: Ah yes, Carleon, I’m sure there’s a difference between those two.

News Anchors International: Breaking news! Our sources in Umbria tell me that a recent outbreak of "Mad Elf Disease" is threatening to turn into an epidemic, with potentially catastrophic consequences. What plans, if any, does the Umbrian court have to stem the spread of this disease? And is it known to be contagious to humans or dwarves?

What plans, if any, does the Umbrian court have to stem the spread of this disease? And is it known to be contagious to humans or dwarves? Eltaor: You sources are in error, no doubt they're humans. it's really quite simple, while Elves might seem to act erratically and madly at times this is simply because your brief human lifespans and limited intellect does not allow you to grasp the complexity of Aelven though. Still, I do not wish to take your concerns lightly however devoid of merit they are. Umbria will, to asuage the concerns you mentioned, establish a quarentine zone streething across Gododdin, Reched and Deira. Once the quarentine zone has been sterilized there should be no risk of any disease, real or imagined spreeding south.
