As the winter drew to its end and the snow began to thaw many of those who spent the season on retreat in the monastery started for their homes and own lands. Passing them in the direction of Car Kells were small groups, consisting of an armed layman here, several knights and their followers there. Slowly the monastery complex started to look more as the fortress it also was as the barracks and courtyards started to fill up. Symbols of Caerleon to far off Nemeth where evident in between tokens of the faith itself. Among the knights several were approached by the Archpriest himself in the company of the Lord-Militant. Whispers flew through the corridors and during dinners, all of those approached wore the Elder tree.
Rumours of what could be were quietened or indeed confirmed as in the first days of spring an official gathering took place in the central courtyard. There, in the light of the first sun, those that formed the unofficial personal guard of the Temple leaders were confirmed in their own order. The Knights of the Relic, or the Order of the Elder, were a fact, a new order dedicated to the retrieval and protection of holy relics and the protection of the highest of the Temple. The Elder tree became their official symbol.
Settling an old demand within the Order Militant and with some of the most respected members thus rewarded the Order seemed to live anew.

At the same time, King Dunbar is seen in the monastery seeking the guidance of the one god like the most faithful monk. However only some of the nobles and servants that were in Dumonia are taking part in the prayers, since most revere the old gods/ways as practiced by NSE. Common for all is that they to some extend enjoy the free time or vacation they have been given.

Having accompanied King Dunbar to Car Kells following the Winter Ball, Aethor observed the proceedings in the first days of spring. While he had journeyed to Car Kells in the hopes of speaking with King Dunbar at his request, it soon became obvious that the King was more concerned with spiritual matters and had no time left to meet with the guild master.
Instead, the admiral paid his respects and spent his time far from sea enjoying what he could of the admirable stonework and speaking with Maelgwyn when the opportunity presented itself, before making preparations to return to court.
All the while, the admiral hoped that King Dunbar and Queen Ursula would adhere to their lawful treaties and the lawful judgments of Albion’s royalty, and respect the mercy that Dumonia and Alined had shown, at great cost to Aethor. He hoped that the King’s distance was only because he had already determined to act with honour. It would later be revealed that Nemeth had indeed decided to adhere to their word, as could expected from any lawful realm.
