The number on the lands indicates the number of movement points required. There are 3 numbers for each province.
The first number is how many points are required if you are moving on a highway (equivalent roman roads or better).
The second number is how many points are required if you are moving on roads (medieval cobblestone roads).
The third number is what you use for no roads.
The little towers are castles (which everyone knows about).

Excellent, Tristan, much obliged. Linde (x-GM) I would like to ask, will fortified holdings show in an update of the P&H somewhere next turn? (Or just written in a post perhaps.)

I'm rather unclear on a lot of things about movement:
1)I assume you can move your movement allocation per warmove or the lowest allocation in a field army correct? I assume so , but just for reference
2) The regent guide says nearly all provinces have roads, so does this mean you use the first value for provinces with highways and the second for all other provinces, but when if ever do you use trackless movement?
3) What happens with split movement points and provinces that cost more MP than you have? If I need to move a movement 2 unit from say Camelot to Accloud how would that go? Wm 1 move to Elmet cost one MP on MP left is this wasted or saved or otherwise? WM 2 moving into Rheced cost 3 MP, do i then move into it with my one saved and 2 new MP? Moving into Bernicia which costs 3 MP, does this then take 2 WM or can you always move one province? Accloud cost 6 MP does this then take 3 Wm or?

1: correct 2: you need to build roads to take advantage of the lower movement cost. 3: movement isn't saved between war moves.

You'll need to elaborate on 3? How do you move into a province which takes more movement points than you ahve. can you always move one province?

My understanding: If your maximum movement points with a field army are lower than those required to move from one province to the next you cán make that move. It is however your entire movement that warmove.
So an army crippled by say TOG heavy infantry that lacks the movement points to go from Camelot to Essetir can make that move. It does constitute the entire movement for the field army that warmove. Thus guaranteeing you can move, albeit at an excruciatingly slow pace.
