Throughout the lands of Tintagel, Totness and Lyonesse, black-clad heralds can be seen riding tirelessly from village to manor and from hamlet to town. Their powerful voices booming across market squares, local baronial courts and other yards carry a simple message:
"Oye, oye, I King Oden of Dumonia, High Lord of Tintagel and Scion of Ernmas the Wise, hereby declare that taxes and other collections are suspended for a full season from the guilders, craftsmen, sailors and other members of the guild known as the Southern Traders. All, hear the pleasure of the King with the Southern Traders whose members have stood like warriors on the seas once infested by Hibernian ruffians."

The declaration from King Oden of Dumonia was well-received by the merchants of Dumonia. Rumors spoke of influential persons in the court displeased by the guild's focus on trade in Nemeth, and the decree brought into focus that Dumonia too was a good place to make an investment.
To assuage the rumors that the Southern Traders were ill-focused in their expenses, one of the Southern Trader's vessels, Aspiration, made the journey from Helna to Dumonia. In its hold it was fully-laden with trade goods, such as silver, wool and lumber (and more). It made for the markets of the province, to meet the demands of its people and its nobles. Aboard it was Captain Caedan, and Grand Admiral Aethor, on his way to the court of the Southern Traders and later, to Camelot to participate in diplomatic affairs.
