Thanks for this. I have to confess that I never watched a Merlin and that I have gone down the path of free creation. Please do not refer to Merlin for background on Dumonia

Please do not refer to Merlin for background on Dumonia Well everything (of importance) you need to know about Odin is in that wiki page. However, Odin never managed to take Nemeth, he merely raided the province (with the help of morgana) and managed to kill King Rodor when he came to defend his people. You should talk to Linde how to fit in.

Please note that Odin from the series and Oden the current ruler of Dumonia are two different characters. And players are completely free to define how their domain and characters have acted in the last 30 years (Within reason ^_^)

On top of that all players are free to redefine areas of their history that was otherwise shown on screen. This is done both to allow players to play the domains they want, and to avoid having to sit through x episodes of Merlin to get a "historical" fact right.
So While Ursula's grandfather was killed by Odin of Dumonia, he might have been a powerful noble, rather than the king himself. Or he could have been an independent mercenary captain that hailed from Dumonia in search of new things to do, due to the peace King Rothgar made with Arthur. And with his (in the eyes of Nemeth) historic ties as leader of the Kings army in Dumonia, they were to blame in the eyes of the people of Nemeth when Odin killed the King of Nemeth.
The domains background stories should mostly be seen as that domains view of the events that have transpired prior to the start of the game, rather than the historical truth.
So from their own perspectives both can be right when one doesn't include Odin as ruler in their background, and the other include that King Odin killed their grandfather.
Any questions?

Thanks, this is fine by me, and am very happy to have Dumonia bearing ICly all the blame other realms wish to heap on it.

So I finally found time to begin watching Merlin (apparently plenty of free time for two weeks after ankle surgery). It's amusing to see Bayard as the King of Mercia and definitely is helping me understand why NSE broke from the Old Religion (#NimueBeCrazy). Fun show, especially when hopped up on pain pills and not able to go/do much else

Fun show, especially when hopped up on pain pills and not able to go/do much else Eh, I kind of thought it was mediocre, especially I felt the show never delivered on Arthur being a great king, but then perhaps I'd just consumed insufficient amounts of opiates prior to watching the show :-) But yeah the old religion were kind of [Redacted]ed up, not much has changes I suppose. :-)

I strongly suggest the oxy to make anything mediocre (or less than mediocre) more enjoyable. Apparently they gave me enough I thought the surgery was fun while it was going on.

Me during my second operation of the knee I read all Napoleon ... and I was ready to repeat the war to all these BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPP of countries and European monarchs ...
(Napoleon, was a tyrant and a greedy, but he came to power at the end of the French Revolution (human and citizen rights) and thus in the permanent war that lasted 25 years against European kings English / elfs) to preserve our freedom and the small flame of democracy, he was the army general for 18 years ... who maintained most of the rights ...)
