Invitations went out from the current headquarters of the Southwestern Traders guild hall in Aberconwy and Deganwy.
Although primarily directed towards those with immediate interest in the public matter at hand - the question of where to permanently locate the guild hall headquarters - it was open to the general public, which was quite unique and unusual for the Guild's council meetings.
In particular: Alined, Caerleon, Dumonia, Gawant and Nemeth were invited to provide reasons why the guild headquarters should be located in any particular province. The choice would ultimately rest with the council, but this was an opportunity for those with a vested interest to have their voices heard.

A druid from the valley of the kings make it known to the council that Merlin looks most favorably on Wessex as the location for the permanent headquarters of the Southwestern Traders. But if that location should prove unfavorable for the guild then Caerleon would be a close second.

Alined suggests either Wessex or Dumonia. They believe Wessex is the better peacetime trade center due to its central location and advanced infrastructure, though Dumonia is a better location in times of war, due to its many castles and safe harbours.

The Dumonian council of lords has convened to discuss this matter. With lords in both Dumonia and Wessex, word in the ports, markets and taverns seem generally in line with Alined's suggestions and reasoning.

Northern Traders - having prior experience operating in Caerleon, notes that the ports are in most excellent condition and sheltered from inclement weather during the winter season. The close proximity to Camelot opens up interesting opportunities for joint trade and infrastructure ventures between the realms of Queen Jessica and King Glendall.
As always, Northern Traders stands ready to assist with any logistics or construction tasks involved in such a momentous move - for a modest administrative fee.

The council thanks for the considerations sent in so far. They have been taken under advisement, while deliberations on the matter continue.
