Alaska is so far north that global warming would in principle make it snow more, as there's no snow when it's too cold. We've had a lot of snow in BC this year, too. Often it doesn't stick around a day the whole winter, but this year it was here for weeks at a time. Could be random, could be global warming messing with ocean currents... climate is pretty complicated.

Well, climate change will most likely result in contintal and sub-continental changes, which for northern europe is cooling, also to hit asia, so i guess it could be called "international" at the very least.
