2 related questions:
Are there existing treaties, agreements and wars between the various nations at game start? If so, what they are? (question 1)
Will there be any pre-game diplomacy to establish or re-establish treaties, agreements, etc...?
Cross-landed-domain domains might be at a bit of a loss at what could amount to a lot of changes or a lot of silence in the beginning of the game regarding what actions they can or cannot take and where good spots to set up their courts would be. I feel this is resolved by either having pre-game diplomacy (perhaps limited in some way if necessary to leave room for additional diplomacy?) or pre-set relationships.

There are no pregame treaties in effect as of yet. You will all be allowed 1 free (no GB cost) pregame Diplomacy action. Each domain can make a maximum of 3 agreements. If all domains involved in an agreement post the same treaty, then it will take effect. You may start dispatching the players now. You may send dispatches to other players now. If sending IC messages to other users through the forum, be kind and add "Linde (GM)" as recipient. If dispatching through mails, please use the following format in the subject line: "[BALB]: Turn X, Dispatch from domain A to domain B, description" So a pregame dispatch mail from Southern Traders to Dumonia regarding a pregame treaty should have subject along these lines: "[BALB]: Turn 0, Dispatch from Southern Traders to Dumonia, Diplomatic Treaty" If you agree on doing diplomacy you could change the subject to: "[BALB]: Turn 0, Diplomacy between Southern Traders and Dumonia, State guild and mutual support" Remember to cc the GM mail found here: birthrightalbion.freeforums.net/thread/76/gm-emailPregame agreements can be made up to and including January 9th. if, at any point before that, you wish to make agreements with available or NPC domains, then send a message, or IC mail to me. with the following tag added to the subject: [NPC] The existence of diplomatic agreements will be common knowledge, although the specifics will be restricted to the domains involved. So I will create a thread for current agreements once any exist. And your private domain forums will be used to keep track of the specifics of the agreements. If the fluff text posted by the GM in the thread: birthrightalbion.freeforums.net/thread/1/story-albiongive rise to a mutual understanding between two domains AND the GM, of the existence and wording of a pregame treaty, the treaty may be put in effect beyond the limit of 3 treaties.

Tir Moreth(Alexander): For some reason I am unable to reply in the 'messages to the gm' forum, so I'll just ask here. 3 hours ago x Tir Moreth(Alexander): You mean 1 diplomacy action pr. player, right? Not 1 in total. So I can conduct 3 seperate diplomacy-equivalent deals with other players pregame. Ban Edit 3 hours ago x Linde (GM): yes 13 minutes ago I moved the post from questions to GM to messages from GM because of the importance of the subject. You can raise questions in the questions to GM forum and I can move them here if needed. Each player can make 3 treaties. Both/all players involved in a treaty have to agree to the phrasing of the treaty. So if a player want to make a treaty that bind Aliened, Camelot, Gawant and Caerleon in a defensive alliance, then all 4 players need to agree on the wording and submit the same agreement. This hypothetical treaty will count as ONE of the three available for each of the domains involved. So the four domains are free to form two other treaties each. The treaty will then be publicly listed as the headline: "Defensive treaty between [Involved domains]" The details and specific agreements will remain privileged information. Hope this answers your question.

Further regarding NPC domains:
Any domain not having a player by Dec. 13th will be finalized by me. At some point after that, I will send dispatches/diplomacies from those realms in order to establish their starting diplomatic agreements.
If a player joins the game after that point, and take over a domain that I have made an agreement on behalf of, he will be asked to honor the agreement. If the player wish to make minor changes to my purchases of domain assets, he will be allowed. If he wish to rewrite some of the domain info I have added after the 15th, he will have to do it before January 10th when the game officially start.

I am going to write up the last pre game treaties submitted tomorrow.
Send me a message if your treaty hasn't been added to the public thread by that time so we can get it sorted out.

I am now taking over any diplomacy that has halted due to lack of response.
If you have a negotiation that has broken down due to lack of response and I haven't answered it, then please resend it and I will get on it ASAP
