As the ground heats up and pleasant warm winds come form the south announcing the true return of summer, couriers and criers ride out from Nemeth to make a formal announcement, the former to a selected few individuals of note, the latter to the general population:
"From the court of Nemeth, let it be known that the man known as Baron Tate has been neglecting to pay his taxes, has failed in his duties to send troops to aid Nemeth and its allies in their hour of need against misguided rebellion and invasion. In his greed, he instead used his influence, status and heritage to try to grab the throne from the royally recognized, rightful ruler of Aliened, King Arthur Valiant, and his vested heir, Lewis Valiant.
Being noble is about having the highest moral standard, and showing courage in the face of hardship. It is about ensuring that justice is served, even if the personal costs are great, and there are no prospects of gain. These attributes are the exact opposite of what Baron Tate has shown by his actions. He has not only broken his word and oath of fealty, he has disgraced not only his own title as a noble of Nemeth, but that of every noble of Nemeth by his disrespect for the law, his lack of honor and his cowardice in the face of hardship.
It is only just that his status reflects his actions and view of life, and therefore he must immediately make his presence known in Nem, to publicly renounce his title in the presence of the court, and to let his holdings in Nemeth go to any capable heirs - be it skilled administrators or highly regarded family members. Then he must leave the land and return to Aliened to await the return of the king he tried to usurp.
Let it be known that no one with a title can hide behind it like it was a shield. A title can and must only be used to shelter and protect those who swear fealty to it."
When done with the first oral announcement in each town, the criers attach a poster which have the spoken words as well as a remarkable detailed drawing of Baron Tate. They are placed close to or inside the local inns and town centers. The criers then visit the larger outlying farms, to make just the oral announcement, returning later to repeat the words in the larger cities at a different hour of the day.
