On hillock nearby Sir Estians command the Lord-Militant of the Temple of the One God overlooks the battle. At the orders of the general commander the forces of the Coalition are starting an organized retreat. Of to the left the Sidhe from Nagnati are marching steadily away as the mud that preventing them from joining the fray now hinders the Lothian forces trying to reach that flank. Looking sideways at a man-at-arms. "Tell Dachlain to ride ahead and scout the road we do.." A clarion call swings his head around, Rhydderch rising urgently in his stirrups and scanning the rearguard. "Damned, what are they doing!" Of in the distance the Knights Templar were deep in the press of the undead infantry of the Temple of Blood. As their infantry support fell back on order, they seemingly did not get the call for retreat. By the time they realised the position of the Knights Templar is surrounded by the Lothian Clan Guard. An urgent second and third clarion call sounds as a part of the Knights Templar break from the surrounding line, Ecclesiast Meinwen among them, discernible in her argyle black and green armour. Suddenly in the press a Lothian spearman strikes her head and she is seen tumbling from her horse, her companions none the wiser as they fight their way out. By the time they realise the Ecclesiast is no longer among them it is to late as the press of the Lothian forces is to thick. While they ride away in the distance her body is held up by the Lothians as a clear taunt. At that moment the hillock is pressured by Lothian outriders and the command falls back.
In the late afternoon the sun shines on a small group of knights and their lance fournies. In between the bloodied men the form of the Lord-Militant is seen pacing. A knight in red and gold is speaking to him "..no way we could reach her Rhydderch, you must have seen. We were overrun and are lucky to have gotten that far. Meinwen's helmet was dented by an earlier blow and it must have impaired her hearing. By the time we got the order to her it was to late." Rhydderch stopping in front of the knight puts his hand on his shoulder "I understand Culdain. I saw. But tell me, how will I explain to the Archpriest when he contacts me this evening that we lost his sister?"
