It's clear there won't be a winter ball involving everyone.
Trying to navigate IC requests is becoming a chore.
Somehow, I need to figure out who should receive official (Diplomacy) invitations to a winter ball in Camelot (hosted by yours truly).
I need to talk with NT, ToG and Slavers. I understand that NT and ToG need to talk to other parties. And that those parties need to... It goes on.
I think I have 5-8 IC messages on this now. Or something.
So here's the deal:
I can invite 8 parties right now to attend diplomatic talks, not including myself.
1. ST 2. NT 3. ToG 4. HS (Slavers) 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. (Tentative) 11. (Tentative)
You want a slot? Ask, and ye shall receive.
All others may still attend in a non-diplomatic capacity.

I think Carleon, Camelot, Mercia and Tir Moreth might have a treaty to sign.

Well, it looks like it's going to take 2 court sessions I can tell from that list there's probably at least 2-3 more, and there's no way I can make that happen on my own.

I don't understand, only 4/9 positions are taken, so... if Caerleon, Camelot, Mercia and Tir Moreth are added, that leaves 1 open.
Hmm... maybe there should be a way for two courts in the same province to work together on a court session, that way some of the pain can be spread around. I dunno, it seems a bit harsh for ST to AGAIN foot the bill - spending your entire turn on letting us do stuff.

I offered to split the burden between ST/NT if there was a way the rules supported sharing court actions but Linde shot down the idea. The people who fancy themselves rulers of the realm are showing a distressing reluctance to pay for state diplomacy

Ooc i will allow cooperative court hosting if the courts are in the same province. So Camelot/NT/TOG could with benefit host a shared court session.

How would that work? One person takes a regent action + court action, can use more court actions, the rest can contribute court actions?

How would that work? One person takes a regent action + court action, can use more court actions, the rest can contribute court actions? My guess would be that each realm takes a realm action but then gets to pool court actions to determine how many people get invited. Allows for a big court gathering but requires a lot of effort.

Seems fair enough to me.
Either that or camelot spends a Realm Action and a court action to invite me and ToG (and possibly more court actions for more people). As part of showing up, ToG and NT can spend additional court actions to bring guests along.

Like Tristan said. So if Camelot NT & ToG each take a realm action and use all their court actions then 15 aditional domains can be invited without converting to additional court actions.

I already wrote in the private messages how many resources I can realistically allocate to the endeavour. I can add a realm action on top of that, but then I really am out of resources to spend on diplomacy this turn. If ToG/Camelot can't shoulder the remaining actions, we'll have to compile a shortlist and leave some parties out of the negotiations.
