Due to some strange annual ritual that the local population engages in, which involves fireworks, drinking and running up and down mountains, I shall be in the wilderness with little to no internet access for about three days starting tomorrow.
I believe the ritual is a celebration of finally drinking coffee instead of tea, which therefore requires drinking beer to celebrate. Logic.
(As an amusing piece of trivia, the fireworks are set off on the 3rd rather than the 4th, due to daylight).

That's right, more wilderness.
04/09/2016 to 11/09/2016
Then some Californication:
17/09/2016 to 25/09/2016
And most likely questionable time between 04/09/2016 to 25/09/2016 (which is why I am trying to get everything done before 04/09/2016)

Good to see you are using the right date format! Is it more "wild" in Alaska compared to for instance a canoe trip in the middle of nowhere sweden?

I know right? Those damn Americans influencing me... although the best date format is still yyyy/mm/dd Where I'm going isn't the wildest it gets (Seward & Denali, mostly). However, it's about as remote as it gets while still being accessible by car. For example, 5 km out of Seward and you pretty much have no cell signal. For Denali, there's one road and if you go a little off that road, there's no motorized vehicles allowed (incl. planes), so they have to use dog sleds to get their park rangers to move from place to place. It certainly feels like the wilderness, and a lot of amenities can be quite limited, but it's definitely possible to find the amenities if you look for them and don't venture too far out. What's true for all of it is that there's always the risk of running into a moose or bear, but that's true even in Anchorage (comparable size to Malmø). Compared to Sweden, I'd say where I'm going is about what you described. But it's possible to go deeper (and plenty of people do and then have to be rescued by helicopter because they're stupid and unprepared for what actual wilderness is, which is why I am not going there ).

"Because they are stupid and unprepared" modern man in a nutshell.
Enjoy your wilderness followed by the sunny California.

I'm off to Kodiak tomorrow, an island full of bears unique enough they named the bears there Kodiak Bears.
And the island is literally named "island", just translated enough times that it sounds special and unique.
Also, while I will ostensibly have internet access, odds are that I won't be online until I get back Monday Tuesday (I lied).

From around the 30th of June to the 5th of July, I am going to be here (I think; it might be one of the others, either way though): www.google.com/maps/place/Wonder+Lake+Campground/@63.4566598,-150.8708913,14.5z/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x56cdf3ff88d01605:0xc6b53b15131936a5!2sDenali+National+Park+and+Preserve!8m2!3d63.1148002!4d-151.1926058!3m4!1s0x0:0x1c9e4ef7aac3b9c9!8m2!3d63.4533672!4d-150.862788 Accordingly, I will have no power and no cell service, and thus be unavailable during that time period.

So I won't be back until next week!
