Okay -- retry after rereading rules...
AgitateCost: 1 GB per province affected.
Difficulty: DDC 10 + Province.
Hardiness [Manor, Temple] – Can be applied by any regent wishing to prevent the agitation + Prosperity – Any action modifier for high or low prosperity is applied as an increase to the DDC.
Realm – When using agitate as a realm action the DDC increases by 1 per province affected. The increase in DDC applies equally to all affected provinces.
Modifiers: Advantage [Manor, Temple]; Stability.
Influence: Yes – You can use influence.
Restrictions: You may take 10, but you may only take
20 when taken as a regent action.
Advantage [Law, Temple, Manor, Guild, Trade, or Source]Some actions are easier to accomplish if you have a certain type of holding in the province; above and beyond the fact that it generates RP and GB for you to use. If you rule a holding [of the type specified] you get an Advantage bonus to your DAC provided you rule at least half the holding levels of that type. If you control all holdings of one type the bonus is +4 instead (except a level 1 holding in a level 1 province). Level 0 holdings never qualify for advantage.
Example: When using the Espionage action, you can use your [law] or [guild] holdings in that province to give yourself a +2 bonus to the DAC. Advantage modifiers do NOT stack even if you have multiple holdings that would qualify for advantage; only apply the modifier from the highest-level holding.
Example: The Count of Ilien has a Law (7) and a Guild (6) in Ilien, a province (7). When applying advantage to his espionage actions in Ilien, he only gets a +2 bonus. You can arrange for other domains to add their holding levels to yours (through a diplomatic treaty) for the purposes of determining advantage. You cannot combine holdings of different types.
If I understood correctly...
Lyceni is a level 2 province
Vel Abri is a level 4 province
If you are the King (RJ) allied to the temple (HTG) + guild (UHT) and are agitating each with separate actions. Note Guilds do not aid nor hinder Agitate, only Manors and Temples.
Lyceni DDC: 10 + 2 (Province) - 2 (RJ Manor/HTG Temple) + 0 (Prosperity) = 10 - 2 (Proficiency) - 2 (Expertise or second proficiency that applies) - 0 (Stability) = 6+ to succeed
Vel Abri DDC : 10 + 4 (Province) - 2 (RJ Manor/HTG Temple) + 0 (Prosperity) = 12 - 2 (Proficiency) - 2 (Expertise or second proficiency that applies) - 0 (Stability) = 8+ to succeed
IF you are king (RJ) without any alliances or aid and have pissed off the temple...
Lyceni DDC: 10 + 2 (Province) - 2 (RJ Manor) + 2 (HTG Temple) + 0 (Prosperity) = 12 - 2 (Proficiency) - 2 (Expertise or second proficiency that applies) - 0 (Stability) = 8+ to succeed
Vel Abri DDC : 10 + 4 (Province) - 2 (RJ Manor) + 2 (HTG Temple) + 0 (Prosperity) = 14 - 2 (Proficiency) - 2 (Expertise or second proficiency that applies) - 0 (Stability) = 10+ to succeed
IF you are a stranger without any alliances or aid and have pissed off the temple and/or ruler...
Lyceni DDC: 10 + 2 (Province) + 2 (RJ Manor/HTG Temple) + 0 (Prosperity) = 14 - 2 (Proficiency) - 2 (Expertise or second proficiency that applies) - 0 (Stability) = 10+ to succeed
Vel Abri DDC : 10 + 4 (Province) + 2 (RJ Manor/HTG Temple) + 0 (Prosperity) = 16 - 2 (Proficiency) - 2 (Expertise or second proficiency that applies) - 0 (Stability) = 12+ to succeed
Note for Vel Abri, if all slots are taken up it can quickly become much more difficult (or inversely easier)...
Vel Abri DDC : 10 + 4 (Province) + 4 (RJ Manor/HTG Temple) + 0 (Prosperity) = 18 - 2 (Proficiency) - 2 (Expertise or second proficiency that applies) - 0 (Stability) = 14+ to succeed
